The Seared Scale's Story
From Forge to studio
The studio's journey started 8 years ago when I moved into the wonderful neighborhood of Burien. It all started in a tent in the backyard covering a rusty hand made forge and a scraggly dragon trying to find himself through hard work. Over the years, I've upgraded tools and forges and moved into the space that is now my studio. The last year has been one of motivation as I fully come out of my injury into metal stability and have revamped the whole space for the purpose of bringing others dreams to life.

My journey to here,
I have spent the majority of my teen and adult life working in and around theater. As such, making and building now comes as naturally to me as breathing. In 2016, I gained what would become a chronic injury and shortly thereafter lost my ability to move without pain throughout my daily life… Over the last 10 years, I have rebuilt my body and mind around my passion for creating several times. From forge and metal work, to rebuilding lasers, to finally bringing everything together with my design school and theater background to make the new studio.
As a prop maker and designer, I thrive on bringing imagination to life. From a hook for a pirate to a lightsaber for a jedi, I combine the art of 3D printing and the craftsmanship of metal fabrication to create unique and captivating props that transport you to other worlds.
